Xiang LI (Kate) is a Research Assistant at the School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, advised by Professor Qiuyu Luca Lu. Her research lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction, digital fabrication, and sustainable design. She focuses on tangible interaction and system-level sustainability, with an interest in material circulation as part of broader service systems. She is currently a Master’s student in Smart Service Design at the same university and received a B.Eng. in Industrial Design from the China Academy of Art. Her recent work explores AI-driven workflows to support design practices.
